How do I join Hilltown Riders?

Print and complete the New Member Application. Send the completed application to Hilltown Riders, PO Box 4917 Schenectady, NY 12304-0917 along with a copy of your ATV insurance and a check for $200 made out to Hilltown Riders. New membership will be voted on at the next meeting.

What are the membership fees?

It is $200.00 for the household per year. If you volunteer to help out on trail maintenance and/or other club activities, you will receive a $100.00 discount the following year. This includes everyone living in the household.

What types of machines are allowed in your club?

ATVs, Dirt Bikes, UTVs / side by sides. Please no excessively loud machines and No snowmobiles.

Does the club participate in area events ?

Yes, we attend events such as arenacross, motocross and TRAILREX, along with other OHV events occurring in the Capital Region to promote the club.

Does the machine need to be registered and insured?

Hilltown Riders requires a copy of your ATV insurance.

Are helmets required?

Yes, helmets are required for anyone riding!

Do you have many trails?

There are many marked trails and more to come!

How long are the trails?

There are over 20 miles of trails on 2,000 acres.

How difficult are the trails?

Trails are marked easy, medium and difficult.

Are the trails kid machine friendly?

Yes, the easy trails work fine with the smaller childrens machines.

I live some distance away, what about a place to stay?

There are several places to spend the night off of I-90 in East Greenbush.

Can I visit the trails before I join?

Yes! we can arrange a visit to the trails, so you can judge for your self.

In what part of NY are the trails located?

Our trails are located 20 minutes east of Albany right off I-90.
